Fellow Trustees,
Trustee Harrison brought up the topic of a SPED/504 Town Hall in the budget & audit thread and I think she is absolutely on point. I emailed the administration over the weekend regarding this topic and received the response that if the Trustee’s agree then a SPED Town Hall would be scheduled for early February. I would like to ask where the other Trustee’s stand on providing the SPED community their own town hall?
In addition, I would like to ask for a plan for the remainder of the school year to be developed between the SPED community and the administration on public two-way communication as the district finishes this year and prepares for next year so that we can ensure the needs of this community continue to be met. This could include regular town halls or other types of public forums, but I would like to see dates set soon. I am asking other Trustee’s voice their support, ideas, or concerns for this type of planning on this thread also. Thanks in advance.
